Putting something back into the Swindon Community

75 Squared are not just a company “in” Swindon, they are also a company “of” Swindon, and that is reflected in managing director Craig Bibby’s desire to put something back into the local community. The company will be setting up a charity with the aim to set up groups and activities as a way of supporting and engaging with children and teenagers who seem to have fallen through the cracks in society.

Reflecting on the troubles and challenges of his own childhood, Craig believes that very often children just need something as straightforward as recreational activities to occupy them or simply someone to talk to keep them on a more constructive and focused path. Because of this he is creating this charity with October expected to see the project begin working in the community.

Craig already has local businesses on board to offer their resources and financial support and has plans for corporate sponsored events and staff events to raise money to allow the charity to reach its full potential.

During this planning stage he is open to suggestions and ideas as to what people think would work best in the community to further this goal. 75 Squared are fully committed to the scheme but any other businesses or individuals who wish to help are welcome to contribute their ideas, their time and their support, and are encouraged to get in touch.

It is a difficult time for support and funding for such projects from official sources so he hopes to make this a community led project for the town’s less advantaged and forgotten children. It isn’t always about a hand out; sometimes it is just about a hand up.

Watch this space.
